Tattoos rule!

my friends Collin and Whitney are in town for the weekend from Denver. they both came in and got cool tattoos yesterday and they both turned out pretty rad if i do say so my self. the train piece pictured is on Whitney. i think this is probably my best piece so far. i actually like doing black and grey reproduction type tattoos a lot. its fun to kind of zero in on super detailed imagery and try and replicate it. i think the tattoo application actually lends itself pretty well to that sort of thing. the tricky part for me is knowing what to leave out. there is just so much going on i dont think it could be completely duplicated. at least not this small. but im new so im sure i dont really know much about what im talking about.

unfortunately i failed to take a picture of Collin's barn piece. another black and grey piece that i actually drew up myself. it actually has a similar kind of look.

this guy I've been working on for a little bit now. i reworked it to make it look a little more traditional. it was sort illustrationy i guess. i like it much more this way. but im not gonna post a pic of the old version so you don't know what im talking about anyway.

it still needs a skull and a wolf at least. whatever happens it's gonna be rad!

workin hard

i just started this rad piece for a fella named spenser who came in to the shop wanting a logo for a skate shop and i convinced him that this would be better. im still trying to sell him on color but i think he wants black and grey. either way it should be fun.

i've been into the crescent moon with the clouds in the background lately. i know its not scientifically correct but it looks cool anyway.

your typical zombie hand bursting from the grave with smoke and shit in the background. cool! can't wait to start!

this flower half sleeve has been in the works for a few months now. its getting very close to done but for a bit in the inside of the arm. this is definitely the most extensive piece i have worked on so far. im really happy with it so far.
